Legends On Letterman

On May 7, Dave Matthews Band performed on LEGENDS ON LETTERMAN,  and paid a final visit to LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN on May 8.

LEGENDS ON LETTERMAN celebrates the musical acts that have performed on the LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN throughout the 21 years the show has been on CBS.

The pair of performances celebrates Dave Matthews Band’s long history with the LATE SHOW, which dates back to February 24, 1995 – the evening that Letterman welcomed the band for its national television debut. The May 8th appearance marks the band’s 13th performance on the show.

On the evening of May 8th, 2015, Dave Matthews Band drummer, Carter Beauford, wore a Flooded Studios special commemorative jersey featuring both the DMB and Letterman logos incorporated together. After the performance, David Letterman commented on Carter’s jersey, and was presented with one of his own, which was designed to match Beauford’s, but had LETTERMAN on the back, as well as the number 15, to commemorate Letterman’s 2015 retirement.

In addition to Letterman’s recognition, the jerseys also got a nod in the May 11 issue of Rolling Stone Magazine.
